Job description

Service Care Solutions is working on behalf of a bustling local authority, based in Solihull, which needs an experienced adult social care lawyer to join their team.


The duration of this contract is on a 4-month rolling basis. They can pay a competitive rate of £55-£60ph umbrella! The role is predominantly, but not exclusively, remote working.


Key Responsibilities Of The Adult Social Care Lawyer Role:

  1. Provide legal advice on complex issues related to Adult Social Care law. This will include Court of Protection Proceedings, DoLs, ordinary residence, funding and charging disputes, and advisory work relating to Care Act 2014 responsibilities, Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts etc.
  2. Handle an adult social care law caseload from start to completion.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 3 years of PQE in Adult Social Care law.
  2. Experience working for a public sector organisation within an Adult Social Care legal team.
  3. Confidence in working independently with minimal supervision.
