Interview Day for Third Year Adult Nursing Students
Full & Part Time Opportunities Available

We would like to invite you to our Adult Nursing Interview Day on Saturday 26th April 2025.

We understand the dedication and hard work you’ve put into reaching your final year of nursing studies, and at UHP, we’re excited to offer you the chance to explore what the future holds once you’ve completed your studying!

This is a fantastic chance to explore opportunities within a setting that has dedicated and committed staff. UHP provide clinical care to the South West and are an organisation that was rated as ‘Outstanding for Caring’ by the CQC.

We have job opportunities available Trust wide within Adult Nursing and would welcome all applications from those who are due to graduate in 2025.

The event will include an opportunity to hear from and meet with the Chief Nurse, information regarding the preceptorship programme and what development opportunities we offer. The day will also consist of individual interviews and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.

Primary Duties & Areas Of Responsibility
  • Provide and deliver a high standard of nursing care (i.e. washing, mouth care, and toileting), recognising and meeting the specific needs of patients.
  • Provide and prioritise own tasks.
  • Carry out clinical observations on patients, recognising, recording and reporting all changes in patients' condition to senior staff.
  • Support maintenance of fluid balance and dietary charts, recognising, recording and reporting all adverse findings to senior staff.
  • Undertake the escort of patients to other departments, under the direction of the registered nurse (when deemed competent).
  • Support nutritional needs of patients by assisting with feeding and drinking, reporting on concerns about dietary intake to senior staff.
  • Maintain awareness of skin integrity over pressure points, recognising and reporting all adverse findings to senior staff.
  • Recognise the importance of health education and teaching of patients and carers, and refer patients to senior staff.
  • Document and sign for all observations and care given with counter signature from a registered practitioner.
  • Maintain professional development, attending courses/further training to enhance and optimise role within the work area.
