As part of ongoing development and expansion, we are developing our Hospital Liaison Team based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The team is an all-age service, and we have older adult and substance misuse staff embedded within the core team.
We welcome applications from individuals with a minimum of 2 years experience delivering high-quality assessments alongside evidence-based interventions to adults receiving care within our local acute hospital.
This post is an exciting opportunity to make a difference and work in a developing service at the front end of physical and mental health care in the acute hospital setting. This role will enable you to make a real difference to the lives of local people by offering assessment, intervention, and liaison in relation to co-existing mental health and psychological issues. The service will work closely with physical health, community mental health, and IAPT services, as well as our local social care and non-statutory colleagues.
The role calls for a highly skilled individual with excellent assessment, communication, and brief intervention skills. The successful candidate must enjoy working as part of a wider team and fully understand the importance of liaison with other services. An awareness of how physical and mental illness can impact outcomes and quality of life is a must in this position, as well as good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
