Main duties of the Speech and Language Therapist:

  1. Conduct initial assessments of adults with suspected dysphagia under supervision.
  2. Develop and implement individualized swallowing rehabilitation plans.
  3. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing input into care plans.

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:

  1. Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
  2. Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  3. Experience working independently with adults with dysphagia and experience of adult communication work in an acute hospital setting.
  4. Must be available to work on Saturdays.
