An established healthcare provider is seeking a skilled Adult Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical Director to lead acute and locked rehabilitation mental health services. This senior role involves providing clinical governance, managing medical staff, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical leadership experience and relevant qualifications, including GMC registration and MRCPsych. This is a senior leadership role as the Medical Lead for acute and locked rehabilitation mental health services in the South-west region. You will have the opportunity to become the Medical Director for Pinhoe View, The Woodmill, and The Copse, providing clinical governance and service delivery across these three sites. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires previous medical leadership experience.
As the Medical Lead Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing senior clinical advisory support, participating in policy and procedure development, leading on quality improvement and clinical governance, managing other medical staff, and acting as the Responsible Clinician with an inpatient caseload. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and represent the region within Elysium's clinical governance structures.

There is a two-tier on-call system. The post holder will be part of the second tier on-call as the duty Responsible Clinician. The post holder will be expected to provide cover for other medical colleagues during annual leave and other absences and this is reciprocated.
