Job description

Administrator / Sales Team Administration Assistant who works to a high level of accuracy with good administrative, organisational, customer service and time-management skills is required to join a busy IT Consultancy in London and support their sales function.

SALARY: up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

LOCATION: Central London (The offices are a few minutes’ walk from Holborn Station).

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

PLEASE NOTE: This is an Office Based role with no opportunities to work remotely from home.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Sales Team Administration Assistant who works to a high level of accuracy with good administrative, organisational, customer service and time-management skills.

Working as the Administrator / Sales Team Administration Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring the Sales Team is supported with preparing contracts, producing sales quotations for customers and dealing with customer and supplier invoice queries.

As the Administrator / Sales Team Administration Assistant you will also support the wider business with buying of IT hardware, software and software licences, in addition to basic accounting administrative duties such as reconciling bank accounts, coding supplier invoices and preparing payment runs.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in a busy office environment and demonstrate excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. You must also have strong organisational skills and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office / 365, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

DUTIES

  • Prepare sales contracts and assist the Team and Service Delivery Managers with the management of them
  • Produce quotations for customers
  • Answer telephone calls and direct to the appropriate team member
  • Buy / Procure IT hardware, software and services for the company
  • Stock control and management of deliveries and dispatches, ensuring accurate records are maintained
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding invoice queries
  • General basic accounting administration: bank reconciliation, coding supplier invoices, chasing debt, preparing payment runs and managing direct debits (additional system training will be provided)
  • Assist the Directors with general administrative duties

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous office administrative background, preferably supporting a Sales Team
  • Excellent telephone manner with excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrable interest in IT
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Diplomatic but assertive and determined to see the job through
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to learn and adapt, applying technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Highly IT Literate using Microsoft Office / 365 – MS Word, Excel and Outlook, Autotask, Xero, Adobe Creative Cloud are all desirable skills
  • Punctual, friendly and confident person
  • Ability to be able to use own initiative
