An opportunity has arisen for a conscientious and mindful Administrator Receptionist - part time - 30 hours to join our close-knit and supportive Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Scarborough.
The team are based at The Ellis Centre in Scarborough and provide community-based support to people aged between 18 and 65 years old, who are experiencing challenges with their mental health.
The CMHT is a multi-disciplinary team and consists of medical staff, mental health nurses, psychologists, social workers, support workers and administrative staff. As one of two Reception Administrators, you will be the first point of contact to all; welcoming service users, carers and visitors to the building and our services.

Standard working hours for this post are between 8:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday. However, some flexibility will be needed on occasion, to cover planned absence and annual leave.
Whilst having previous experience of an administrative role is essential, NHS or other health care experience is not. We are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion for people, customer service experience, organisational skills, an interest in working in a health care setting and a proactive 'can do' attitude.

We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate patience and understanding, is comfortable multi-tasking in a busy environment, can communicate confidently and utilise discretion when needed, is thorough and takes pride in their work, can build strong working relationships with a variety of people, can prioritise their workload and work to deadlines.

Reception Administrator duties will include: greeting service users, carers, staff and visitors; answering queries via telephone and email; calendar management; sending appointment reminders; maintaining visitors logs; photocopying; data input; filing; purchasing stock and processing deliveries; issuing access cards; processing all incoming and outgoing post; ensuring that all information displayed in the reception area, for staff and visitors alike, is visible and kept up to date.
