Saheliya is a specialist mental health and well-being support organisation working with women (12+ years) experiencing racial inequality in Edinburgh, Glasgow and other parts of Scotland.
Saheliya is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Administrator/Office Manager to work in our Edinburgh head office.
Purpose of the Job
To provide effective reception and administration support to Saheliya’s head office in Edinburgh. To ensure the smooth running of the office by managing the reception and telephones, maintaining and developing administrative systems, overseeing the premises, and line-managing reception and clerical volunteers.

Job Purpose: To work within the Edinburgh Women’s Aid (EWA) administration team, to ensure efficient and effective administrative support to the whole organisation, with specific responsibility for MARAC administration.
EWA plays a vital role in safeguarding women at the highest risk of serious harm or murder through our coordination of Edinburgh’s Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC). This role will carry out the administration of the four Edinburgh MARAC meetings which occur every 4 weeks on a rolling basis, 13 times a year.
A satisfactory Disclosure Scotland Level 2 check is required for this position.
Role of the Refuge Support Worker: To provide a safe and supportive environment for women and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse and may have additional support needs. You will offer trauma-informed practical and emotional support, supporting women to regain their confidence, independence, and sense of empowerment as they move forward with their lives.
In this role, you will ensure the refuge remains a secure and welcoming space, where women feel safe and supported. You will carry out risk assessments and safety planning, while also assisting with housing, finances, health, and legal matters.
You will work closely with external agencies and the wider EWA team to provide a holistic and coordinated approach to support, ensuring women and children receive the most effective support and resources tailored to their needs.
Role of the EDDACS/Duty Support Worker: To provide a confidential, safe and supportive frontline information service to women and agencies who contact EWA across our EDDACS (Edinburgh Domestic Abuse Court Service) and duty service. Support can be accessed through the crisis phone line and/or ‘drop in’ service and delivered within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse. Where safety issues are assessed, the worker will ensure the completion of the Risk Identification checklist and an individualised support and safety plan. Where appropriate, the worker will assess women, and any accompanying children who are affected by domestic abuse, for refuge accommodation. This role is based at EWA offices, 4 Cheyne St, Edinburgh EH4 1JB.
Additional Information: Western Isles Rape Crisis Centre is looking to recruit an experienced support worker to join our team. The overall aim of the post is to provide one-to-one support to survivors of sexual violence.
For this role, we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours, flexible start and finish times, or compressed hours.
A clean driving licence and use of own car is essential to this post.
