About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of a major Chinese shipping company seeking an Administrative Clerk to support its Shipping Department. In this role, you will handle administrative tasks, liaise with external agencies, and oversee office procurement, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle administrative tasks including providing clerical support to the Shipping Department and prepare correspondence and documents for government and intermediary agencies.
  • Assist the department head with external liaison and company-related activities.
  • Manage procurement of office equipment, obtain quotes, conduct price comparisons and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Maintain administrative records, filing, and document archiving.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in administrative management.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin for business interactions.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong typing in both languages.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Experience in Chinese companies or the shipping industry is a plus!
