Position Summary

This position is a full-time position responsible for supporting the administrative and project coordination needs of Giving Programs and Grants.

Campus: Main Campus (Grantham)

Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience Required: 2-4 years of administrative assistant experience preferred. Experience in a development or fundraising environment preferred.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide administrative support for the Director of Giving Programs & Donor Communication.
  • Design Development and campus-wide online giving site pages using Slate, Crowdshark, and/or other relevant online giving systems.
  • Update website information for all of Development as needed.
  • Initiate and coordinate all elements of fundraising appeals for the Giving Programs Office and various campus departments (i.e., offices, crowdfunding), working closely with the Office of Marketing & Communications, Messiah Press and Coordinator of Donor Records.
  • Maintain schedules and make travel arrangements for the Director of Giving Programs & Donor Communication.
  • Manage operations activities for Annual Giving events (reserve rooms, catering, etc.).
  • Coordinate and monitor annual timeline for grant submissions, including upcoming deadlines for grant submissions and reports.
  • Prepare data tracking and contact reports for Messiah Fund, Director of Giving Programs & Communication, and other giving programs.
  • Submit Visa receipts and prepare monthly Visa reconciliation for Director of Giving Programs & Donor Communication and Department.
  • Pull reports from donor database to track giving rates, response rates, and other relevant data.
  • Oversee and manage Development’s email account.
  • Communicate with Messiah Press about envelope inventory for all of Development.
  • Update donor database with changes in demographics as needed.
  • Actively participate in meetings of the Annual Giving team and Development Administrative Assistants.
  • Answer Development phones as needed.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

Secondary Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
