Administrative Assistant
Contract Length: 3 months contract
Location: Darlington
Rate: £15.20 per hour PAYE

Role Description
A vacancy has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to join a main contractor that specializes in Rail, Construction, and Civil Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
  2. Support managers and employees through a variety of tasks.
  3. Receive, sort, and distribute the mail.
  4. Maintain computer and manual filing systems.
  5. Travel arrangements, booking flights, cars, hotel, etc.
  6. Order and maintain stationery and equipment supplies.
  7. Day to day management of M-site system (training given).
  8. Coordinate office procedures.
  9. Generate reports.
  10. Timely preparation of meeting rooms to ensure they are tidy and set up (excluding IT equipment), ready for meetings.
  11. Deal with maintenance issues/Ensure office equipment and services are carried out.
  12. Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  13. Maintain databases.
  14. Carry out various other administrative duties.

Required Experience:

  1. Strong attention to detail.
  2. Excellent time management.
  3. Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  4. Strong record-keeping skills.
  5. Good knowledge of operating IT systems i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  6. Proven administration experience will be beneficial.

This position is for 20 hours per week and offers flexible on-site working hours to suit you.
