Administrative Assistant
Location: Musselburgh
Permanent | Full-Time office based | Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Contract Scotland has a fantastic opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our client, a Civil Engineering consultancy based in Musselburgh. This is a permanent position and offers you the chance to work with an established and professional business.

About the Role

You'll provide essential support to the Director, managers and wider team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, is highly organised, and is eager to grow within a reputable business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the Director with diary management and meeting coordination
  2. Maintain accurate project and office records, both digital and paper-based
  3. Prepare, edit, and distribute documents and reports
  4. Assist with ordering supplies and managing purchase orders
  5. Provide day-to-day support to other members of the admin team
  6. Contribute to internal communications and weekly reporting processes
  7. Provide support and mentor Junior members of the team

What We're Looking for:

  1. Previous admin experience, ideally in a professional or technical environment
  2. Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
  3. Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems
  4. A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
