Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Derby

Hourly rate: £10.00-£12.21

Hours of Work: 24 per week

Type: Part time, Monday to Friday

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

We are hiring for an Administrative Assistant that is experienced in a previous Administrative based role, in Derby. This is an office-based role in a dynamic and friendly environment where you will ensure the efficient operations of the office and offer administrative support to team members.

Duties of an Administrative Assistant

In this role, you will support the Administrative team to maintain smooth operations. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for:

  1. Effectively engaging with clients both over the phone and in person, responding promptly to emails and ensuring exceptional communication standards are maintained for both internal and external interactions.
  2. Managing the organisation of office supplies, documents, and equipment, ensuring the work environment remains efficient and well-maintained.
  3. Supporting the planning and coordination of meetings, events, conferences, and team-building activities.
  4. Offering daily administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel arrangements.
  5. Maintaining records, data entry, and efficiently filing documents.
  6. Engaging with clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, both over the phone and in person.
  7. Monitoring and supporting budgeting, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate records of office expenses.
  8. Assisting with projects through researching potential leads, clients, and sectors.
  9. Carrying out additional administrative tasks, including photocopying, scanning, and ensuring the functioning of office equipment.

Skills and Experience of an Administrative Assistant

As an Administrative Assistant, you need to have experience with:

  1. 2 years of administrative experience
  2. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office

It would be beneficial to the Administrative Assistant role if you also had:

  1. Strong organisation and time management skills.
  2. Confidence in contributing ideas and solutions.
  3. Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
