Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Derby

Hourly rate: £10.00-£12.21

Hours of Work: 24 per week

Type: Part time, Monday to Friday

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

We are hiring for an Administrative Assistant that is experienced in a previous administrative-based role in Derby. This is an office-based role in a dynamic and friendly environment, and you will be ensuring the efficient operations of the office and offering administrative support to team members.

Duties of an Administrative Assistant

In this role you will be working in support of the Administrative team to maintain smooth operations. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for:

  1. Effectively engage with clients both over the phone and in person, respond promptly to emails, and ensure exceptional communication standards are maintained for both internal and external interactions.
  2. Manage the organisation of office supplies, documents, and equipment, ensuring the work environment remains efficient and well-maintained.
  3. Support the planning and coordination of meetings, events, conferences, and team-building activities.
  4. Offer daily administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel arrangements.
  5. Maintain records, data entry, and efficiently file documents.
  6. Engage with clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, both over the phone and in person.
  7. Monitor and support budgeting, process invoices, and maintain accurate records of office expenses.
  8. Assist with projects through researching potential leads, clients, and sectors.
  9. Carry out additional administrative tasks, including photocopying, scanning, and ensuring the functioning of office equipment.

Skills and Experience of an Administrative Assistant

As an Administrative Assistant, you need to have experience with:

  1. 2 years of administrative experience
  2. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office

It would be beneficial to the Administrative Assistant role if you also had:

  1. Strong organisation and time management skills.
  2. Confidence in contributing ideas and solutions.
  3. Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
