Job description

Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.
Our justice system defends our fundamental rights and freedoms. It is a cornerstone of our modern society, and it must serve all those who call on it, when they call on it. From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimants and commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently.

Position: Full-Time Temporary Welsh Speaking Admin Officer
Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extending
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours (37 hours per week)
Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour

Required:

  1. Strong administration experience along with good customer skills.
  2. Continuous improvement in the workplace.
  3. Understanding and use of IT systems such as Microsoft Office 2016. Experience in other systems is desirable.
  4. Experience in working in a team is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing papers and files, including documents for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings.
  2. Creating and Updating records on the in-house system, including collecting information.
  3. Booking, preparing, and organising meeting rooms and court hearings.
  4. Processing casework such as court orders and claims.
  5. Clerking Civil and Family Courts.
  6. Handling counter (face to face) and answering telephone calls.
  7. Communicating with Judiciary, Magistracy and other court staff to provide excellent customer service.
  8. Working under pressure and delivering a "right first time" service to all.

Other duties:

  1. Required to work flexible hours.
  2. Assist with other duties.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Relevant computer skills to undertake the level of work required.
  2. Must be able to speak Welsh.
