ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a JJ’s Administration Officer / Accounts Assistant, you will support our depot operations in the Victorian region - based from our Dandenong South office.

You will be experienced, reliable and able to provide efficient day-to-day accounts administration support to the team. Working in a dynamic environment, you will have the ability to learn quickly, demonstrate a willingness to undertake any task at hand, and have excellent problem solving and time management skills.

This position is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm.

In this role you will support Sales Administration, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable daily functions. Opportunities to expand your knowledge to other areas of these departments and our business will be available in future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering high standards of customer service, effectively managing requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Liaise with drivers, sales representatives and management regarding day to day service
  • Providing experience and capability of using databases and document systems; able to follow processes and procedures
  • Processing high volume of data entry
  • Processing of confidential documentation accurately, efficiently and within required timeframe
  • Maintaining national accounts and liaising with subcontractors
  • Creating and maintaining supplier information / end to end management of subcontractor invoices
  • Batching, coding, and keying of supplier invoices
  • Reconciliation and identification of supplier invoices due for payment
  • Processing remittances onto customer accounts
  • Perform account reconciliations, including credits, funds transfers and bad debts
  • Ad hoc duties associated with being part of a dynamic and evolving company

ABOUT YOU

  • Practical knowledge of the Windows Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Previous experience in Sales Administration, Accounts Payable / Receivable, Banking and Purchasing would be advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders
  • Excellent data entry skills and an eye for detail
  • Commit to JJ’s Waste values and be willing to embrace workplace diversity
  • Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance
  • Well-developed people and relationship skills
  • Experience in transport, logistics or service industry - highly regarded but not essential
