Brook Street (UK) Ltd are recruiting Administration Officers for our leading Public Sector client Intellectual Property Office, Newport.

Job Role

  • Processing of forms in line with agreed quality criteria, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and communicating findings to the customer in writing.
  • Accurately recording data onto our databases including uploading of documents and typing of information to ensure an accurate historical record. Identifying gaps/errors and reporting these.
  • Producing accurate documentation in line with guidance.
  • Answering telephone calls within 5 rings. Responding to letters/emails of general enquiry within 5 days of receipt. Responding to detailed correspondence within 3 weeks of receipt.
  • Processing administrative tasks for other teams when required.

Please note our office is currently undertaking a Transformation programme, which will introduce new ways of working. You will be expected to participate and engage in this work.

We currently work in a hybrid way with a combination of home/office working. There is a requirement to attend the office for at least 20% of your working week. You will be required to participate in rotas and occasionally may need to attend the office at short notice if business need requires.

Please note all training will be office based and therefore, there will be some weeks when you will be required to attend the office multiple days. Advance notice will be given.

At least the first 2 weeks of training will be office based.

As the successful Application you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to hybrid working arrangements.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 2 GCSEs - Maths and English
  • Reliable with a good attendance record

The rate of pay is £13.90 per hour, the hours of work are 37hrs Monday to Friday.
