Job description

Our client, who is a multi-sector training and consultancy business offering a comprehensive range of professional services, is looking for a hard-working and committed individual to join their team as an Administration Assistant Apprentice in East Kilbride.

Responsibilities:

The role will require working across all sections within the Operations Admin Department. The role holder provides key daily support associated with planned and reactive activities within an office environment, from answering calls, filing, and processing mail (in/out) to accurately processing training programmes via digital platforms and paper-based systems and invigilating training courses.

Since this is a junior position, a comprehensive training and development program will be provided, including the completion of a Diploma in Digital Applications Modern Apprenticeship.

The ideal candidate will be educated to National 5 as a minimum. They will have the ability to work closely with colleagues to meet business targets and to develop excellent working relationships with staff across the business and within their Learning & Development Centre combined with their Skills Training Academy.

The role holder’s responsibilities and accountabilities will be set out daily/weekly/monthly by their line manager along with the provision of guidance and support from their Apprenticeship Assessor.

Achieve and exceed individual performance targets (monitored daily and via 121 meetings).

Hours:

35 Hours / Week (Monday – Friday 9 am to 4.30 pm)

Pay:

£14,000.00-£18,000.00 per year

Your training will start with a 12-18 month Digital Application Support Modern Apprenticeship, which consists of learning on the job, as well as our custom-built E-Learning platform. You will develop all the skills you need to pass your work-based assessments. Our assessors are available to provide one-to-one support and will work with your line manager to ensure you settle into your new role.

You will gain a Diploma in Digital Application Support, which is a Nationally recognised qualification and may be used to gain employment and further your career in administration.

***Please note all candidates must be 16-24 due to government apprenticeship funding and must be able to easily commute to East Kilbride every weekday.
