The Role

We are looking for a positive and adaptable Administration Assistant to join our team. The role involves sorting and scanning mail, preparing meeting rooms, and ordering stationary alongside some reception duties such as answering telephones, and administration support (typing, filing, photocopying). Other responsibilities include completing checklists and helping to keep the office tidy.

This varied position has great routes for progression into other departments with previous Administration Assistants moving on to be Secretaries, HR Assistants, IT Assistants and Medical Agency File Handlers.

Responsibilities

  • Sorting, scanning, and franking of mail.
  • Reception duties, including answering telephones in a polite and professional manner.
  • Administration support, such as typing, filing, and photocopying.
  • Manual handling such as lifting heavy boxes and moving furniture when required.
  • Making refreshments.
  • Ensuring meeting rooms are prepared.
  • Filling and emptying dishwashers.
  • Completing checklists on a daily/weekly basis as instructed.
  • Ordering stationery.
  • Running errands, such as buying milk for the office.
  • Helping to keep the office tidy.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
Person Specification

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience of dealing with customers on the telephone.
  • Prior Reception/Switchboard knowledge is favourable.
  • NVQs or qualifications in business administration are advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience of working in a law or legal services firm.
Salary & Hours

  • Salary of £21,156.20 - £25,695.54, dependent on age.
  • Our standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday.
