Administration Assistant - Level 3

Job Overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, hardworking, caring, and friendly L3 Administrator to join our school. You will have excellent administration skills, be people-centered, and be able to work within a team. This is a pivotal administration role that requires the highest level of confidentiality, communication, and organisational skills, coupled with the ability to effectively use various Finance (FMS6) and HR processes and Management Information Systems (SIMS). You will also need an understanding of financial administration, including invoice processing.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy school.
  • A warm and empathetic manner.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • The ability to use their initiative, be flexible, and ensure children are safe and happy.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and consistently work to deadlines.

Previous school office experience is essential.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a grade C in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks on a day-to-day basis.
  • Experience in dealing with the public both face-to-face and on the telephone.
  • Sensitivity to the requirements of disadvantaged groups and children with special educational needs.
  • Experience in using information management systems.
  • Experience in using school financial systems.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner.
  • Ability to organise own work and work with others to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to show reliability and to work to meet key deadlines.
