Actuarial Pricing Analyst

Location: London, Brighton, Leeds, Manchester or Staines - Hybrid working

Type: Permanent, Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Salary: From £32,800 + (dependent upon experience & location) + pension, private health etc.

The Actuarial Pricing Analyst is a key role in Bupa Global's Pricing Development team. You will be part of the actuarial team responsible for the pricing and analytics across Bupa Global's Individual and SME segments. The pricing team is responsible for developing and delivering the pricing strategy in support of Bupa's strategic goals. The role will require a key blend of commercial and technical actuarial skills.

How you'll help us make health happen:

  • Pricing analysis of historical performance
  • Extracting, refining and enriching data
  • Identifying trends for pricing recommendations
  • Advanced analytics for building models
  • Modelling the impact of new pricing strategies
  • Competitor pricing analysis
  • Supporting the production and delivery of key management information
  • Profitability analysis by customer segment
  • Support a wide range of stakeholders covering other teams such as Finance, Actuarial, Sales, Product & Proposition, Clinical Policy and Healthcare Analytics.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills demonstrated through previous experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable background of strong academic performance, demonstrating commitment to pass exams
  • Relevant actuarial Insurance experience (desirable)
  • Ideally SAS, VBA, SQL or Python knowledge

The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen commitment to sit the actuarial exams and obtain the Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) qualification.
