XPS Group is a leading UK consulting and administration business specialising in the pensions and insurance sectors. We are looking to recruit multiple Apprentice Actuarial Analysts to join our team in September 2025. These roles are suitable for those who are technically minded and will require five days per week attendance for an initial period of 3 months, gradually reducing to a minimum of two days a week in line with our flexible working policy.

The recruitment process includes an assessment centre for successful candidates, which will be held in person in either our Birmingham or Reading office.

The Role
You will be joining our Pensions Technical Team, which provides support to our wider Actuarial Team, focusing on technical calculations for various actuarial work. You will receive on-the-job training and support through the Level 4 Actuarial Technician Apprenticeship in partnership with BPP.

As part of the Pensions Technical Team, your responsibilities will include:

• Data analysis and manipulation.
• Running and understanding our calculation software.
• Calculating the total value of pension schemes' benefits for various purposes.
• Processing individual pension scheme member calculations.
• Drafting written advice to clients.
• Liaising and communicating within the team and with other departments.

Your profile
Essential Criteria:
This is an entry-level role suitable for A-level school/college leavers or those looking for a career change. Candidates should have an analytical mindset, high numeracy, and a desire to learn. A minimum of grade B at A-level in a mathematically related subject is required.
