We are now pleased to announce we are accepting applications. You will be paid a full Instructor wage from day 1 regardless of prior experience or qualifications. You will also have the opportunity throughout your employment to gain qualifications. As well as gaining qualifications, experience and self confidence you will also have the opportunity to make new friendships and experience what it is like at our other centres around the UK.

As an Activity Instructor your job is to provide an introduction to outdoor pursuits to all visitors in a safe environment and to assist in the development of social and interactive skills in conjunction with the National Curriculum Key stages 2 & 3. The work is extremely rewarding. Every Instructor remembers the smile on the face of the first child they helped to have the confidence to overcome their fears.

Responsibilities:
  1. You will be teaching a range of exhilarating activities including paddle sports, sailing, raft build, climbing, abseil, fencing, rifle shooting, high ropes, orienteering, archery, hill walk, survival skills, underground maze, obstacle courses, mountain biking and more!
  2. Ensuring you are representing Manor Adventure with professionalism, maturity and integrity at all times.
  3. Setting up activities and ensuring they start on time.
  4. Assist in the daily running of the centre.
  5. Welcoming new school arrivals and bidding farewell to the schools departing.
  6. Showing guests to their correct accommodation and giving them a site tour upon arrival.
  7. Taking part in training sessions so that you are kept up to date on practices for yourself but also other instructors.
  8. Reporting any health and safety issues.
  9. Filling out accident report forms and dealing with first aid incidents.

We welcome applications from those with or without experience. You can start your career with us or take your existing experience to the next level. All we need from you is energy, enthusiasm and a passion for working with children. We prefer instructors to live on-site due to fairly priced living accommodation and food packages being available.

Qualifications and Benefits:
  1. National Governing Body (NGB) qualifications from British Fencing, Archery GB, NSRA, Nuco, British Canoeing and the RYA.
  2. A comprehensive training and development programme - we don't only develop the abilities of children, we develop the skills and abilities of our Instructors as well.
  3. An excellent salary package.
  4. A standard seasonal contract.
  5. Extremely rewarding work.
  6. Career development prospects - we develop good Instructors into Senior Instructors, Chief Instructors and Heads of Centre.
  7. A fairly priced 'live in package' with good accommodation and food.
  8. Good working conditions in a professional yet friendly team environment.
  9. High standard uniform.
