Could you imagine delivering an enriching activities programme for the elderly in the heart of your community?

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Activities Therapist to organise and deliver a programme of activities which will enrich the lives of our residents in Brooklands Care Home, Derry/L'Derry.

Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: £22,000 per annum

The Role

  1. Co-ordinate and deliver an innovative programme of social activities for our residents throughout the year.
  2. Activities should be person centred, catering to a range of individual preferences across a broad spectrum of activities including but not limited to: beauty, relaxation, arts & crafts, music, and theatre.
  3. Responsible for ensuring that all associated documentation is completed and evidenced in line with our standards.
  4. Fundraising will be required and therefore previous experience will be an advantage.
  5. Candidates must be enthusiastic, motivated and have the skills necessary to ensure a varied programme of both group & one to one activities are provided to our residents.

What we need:

We need someone who will be able to provide social activities to our residents in either a group situation or on a one to one basis. Previous experience of delivering activities within a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
