This is an opportunity to join Barchester Healthcare as an Activities Assistant in a care home in Alcester. You will be responsible for delivering a range of engaging and fulfilling activities to residents, ensuring they can pursue their interests and enhance their involvement with the community.

Main duties of the job

As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a diverse range of activities and events for the care home residents. This may include arts and crafts, music sessions, outings, and social gatherings. You will work closely with the residents to understand their preferences and tailor the activities accordingly. Your role will be to create a stimulating and enjoyable environment that promotes the residents' well-being and independence.

Job responsibilities

The working hours for this role will be Monday, Tuesday and Saturday 10am - 4pm.

ABOUT THE ROLE As an Activities Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities to ensure our residents can enjoy an environment that is motivational and fulfilling. The Activities Assistant role involves helping us to deliver an entertainment and activities programme that covers a wide range of pastimes, social activities, outings and events. Put simply, you'll help every resident to live as independently as possible and enhance their involvement with their family, friends and the local community.

• No specific experience is required for this role, as Barchester Healthcare provides comprehensive training and development opportunities. However, they are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in working with older adults, strong interpersonal skills, and a creative and empathetic approach.
