Locum ACT Pharmacy Technician (Band 5/6)

Are you an experienced Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician looking for a rewarding locum role in Hereford? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

Job Title: ACT Pharmacy Technician (Band 5/6)
Location: Hereford
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, 30-minute break)
Start Date: April 2025
Rate of Pay: £18-£26 per hour - depending on experience

A Day in the Life of an ACT Pharmacy Technician:

1. Dispensing medications and providing clinical support to patients.
2. Accuracy Checking of dispensed prescriptions to ensure compliance with required standards.
3. Managing medication effectively in line with hospital protocols.
4. Working alongside healthcare professionals to offer expert advice on medicines.
5. Ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory pharmacy practices.
6. Supporting a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Essential:

1. Qualified Pharmacy Technician with an accredited ACT qualification.
2. Experience in either a community or hospital pharmacy setting.
3. Strong communication and organisational skills.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
5. Accuracy Checking experience with a valid ACT qualification.

Desirable:

1. NHS or similar healthcare experience.
2. Knowledge of current pharmacy practices and medication management.

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. The contract is ongoing, with the possibility of extension based on performance and service requirements.
