We are looking for a talented Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our team in providing exceptional technical knowledge and expertise for more complex Accounts Payable queries and processes. This role will ensure accurate account management for VWFS (UK) Ltd and VW Bank Branch, while adhering to regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, providing support, guidance and training to ensure the team's growth, performance and efficiency.
2. Oversee the accurate processing and payment of daily invoices and credits, ensuring compliance with supplier contractual terms and service level agreements.
3. Monitor and manage agency vehicles and VWG Consignments, maintaining accurate reconciliations and minimising ageing balances.
4. Act as a subject matter expert and technical specialist in supporting the team with systems requirements and problem-solving related to Accounts Payable processes.
5. Proactively manage supplier accounts and complete reconciliations for top 20 suppliers, promptly addressing queries and minimising exposure to the business.
6. Review and process weekly supplier and employee expenses payment runs to ensure timely payments and adherence to company policies and budgets.

Skills and Experience:

1. Strong technical accounting/bookkeeping knowledge.
2. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate business process issues.
5. Organised and methodical approach to work with a demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines.
6. Adaptable problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
7. Experience managing relationships and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Self-motivated team player with a creative and process-improvement mindset.
