Job Title: Accounts Manager

Location: Bolton

Salary: 30,000 - 37,000

The Company:

My client is a rapidly expanding leader in the construction sector. They provide a comprehensive range of services which has led to them being a leader in the market.

Job Summary:

Working within the busy Finance department and reporting to the Directors, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the finance team to ensure the smooth and efficient processing of financial transactions and adherence to compliance standards.

Key Tasks:

  1. Lead the finance team, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company procedures.
  2. Oversee accurate and timely payment processing.
  3. Manage the finance inbox, prioritizing and responding to queries within deadlines.
  4. Chase overdue payments, maintaining accurate records.
  5. Administer payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  6. Handle invoicing and purchase orders, ensuring prompt issuance and follow-ups.
  7. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and support audits.
  8. Provide financial reports and analysis to senior management.

This list is not exhaustive, and duties and responsibilities may change as the role develops.

Knowledge, Skills and Education:

  1. Experience in finance administration, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Familiarity with Xero is a plus, but training is provided.
  3. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  4. Professional and discreet when handling sensitive financial information.
  5. Proficient in IT, numeracy, problem-solving, and Excel.
  6. Efficient, detail-oriented, and highly accurate.
