Job description

We are looking for an experienced Part Time Accounts Assistant to join a small accounts department within an industry-leading manufacturing business.

The role involves ensuring an effective process with suppliers, maintaining good communication to manage supplier expectations, and ensuring that purchasing costs are recognized in a timely fashion. Monthly statements will be reconciled, and Bacs payments produced.

Accounts Payable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing of supplier invoices, credit notes, payments, and any other authorized transactions into the accounts payable ledger.
  • Processing of franchise invoices and credits.
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders.
  • Reconciliation of purchase ledger accounts.
  • Management of supplier statements.
  • Resolving supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Communication with suppliers regarding payments.
  • Liaising with managers to ensure invoices are authorized.
  • Expenses management.
  • Processing daily banking.
  • Reviewing till and cash accounts.
  • Reconciling petty cash.
  • Processing payments, expenses, finance settlements, and any other payments onto bank.
  • Assisting with month-end duties.

Technical Competencies:

  • A keen eye for detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • D365 experience would be advantageous.
  • Relevant account qualifications – full or part qualified.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Salary is GBP 25,000 Pro Rata – 18 to 20 hours per week.
