The role:
We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious Finance Assistant to join our team. We have recently completed the acquisition of two entities, one in the US and the other in France, and are now seeking a new member of the team to help support our processes across our group. Reporting to our experienced Senior Finance Manager and working closely with the wider team you will be responsible for key parts of the finance function, supporting our fast-growing scale-up business across multiple geographies and business segments.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the processes across our group, supporting our accounts payable process, and taking ownership of ensuring supplier invoices are processed and paid on time. You will also help monitor and report on key spending lines such as cloud server spending and IT costs. We are a small team so expect exposure to a variety of areas including management reporting and analysis, annual audit and statutory accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, banking and cash management. You will also be willing to help in our London office ad hoc where required on office maintenance and IT systems.
The role involves working in multiple currencies across our group and you will also need to be fluent to native speaker level in French. You will also support the Finance team in maintaining our ledgers and help with the monthly close process, reporting and annual audit as well as some wider operational support and administration.

- Managing our Accounts Payable process
- Accurate recording of supplier invoices, working across the business to ensure accuracy
- Supplier queries and payments
Other responsibilities:- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cost reporting and analysis, reporting on key operating cost lines
- Assisting with monthly accounting close and reporting
- Support the finance team on annual audit and ad hoc reporting
- Operational support in our Putney office
Experience and skills:- 1-2 years experience in a finance role with involvement in the accounts payable and banking processes
- French language - native speaker / fluent
- A degree (2:1 or better) and/or accounting technical qualification such as AAT.
- A desire to complete an accounting qualification is preferred, and we can help facilitate your learning
- Proficient use of Excel
- Exposure to Xero is a plus but...we can teach you this
