Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant is responsible for processing invoices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high volumes, as well as reconciling supplier statements. The role requires an all-rounder who can assist other members of the wider team when necessary and will be located in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Processing invoices and credit notes daily. Volume in region of 80-100 per day.
• Checking APRO for failed invoices, chasing internally for PO receipts, and resolving issues.
• P Card payments monthly - reconciling balance before approval.
• Matching pre-payments to invoices.
• Understanding & preparing month-end accruals.
• Maintaining data for daily management reporting (QDIP).
• Management of queries, following up and escalating for resolution.
• Collate and check monthly payment runs for GBP & USD accounts.
• Support the monthly reconciliation of GRNI.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Strong working knowledge of Excel (V-look up, pivot tables).
• Accounts Payable experience of processing a high volume of purchase invoices.
• Data inputting to a high level of volume and accuracy.
• Knowledge and experience of Oracle would be desirable.
• An analytical approach to your work, and a focus on continuous improvement.
