Accounts Assistant / St Helens / Salary £24,000 – £26,000 / Permanent Role

Accounts Assistant Role Overview

NC Associates are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a company based in St Helens. You will be working as part of a small team and be responsible for managing the purchase ledger process, reporting into the Financial Controller.

Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase invoices and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
  • Posting and allocating receipts.
  • Raising invoices for their domestic customers.
  • Processing company credit card expenditure.

Accounts Assistant Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in Purchase Ledger.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
