Accounts Assistant

Our client is seeking an energetic and dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their Accounting & Finance Department. This role is critical to maintaining and improving the businesses financial operations.

Description

1. Cashbook reconciliation for multiple bank accounts and balance sheet reconciliations using Excel spreadsheets
2. Processing and coding credit card transactions and personal expense claims
3. Maintaining fixed asset register
4. Raising manual invoices
5. Making payments
6. Processing journals
7. Monthly Intrastat and EC Sales
8. Accounting for accruals and prepayments
9. Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
10. Liaising with credit controller
11. Assisting with preparation for year end
12. Ad hoc accounts payable queries as required

Profile

1. A degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
2. Proven experience in a similar role
3. Understanding of principles and practices of basic accounting
4. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
5. Strong organisational and time-management skills
6. Attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers
