Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Harley Street, London
Full time: 40 hours per week
Shift times: Monday – Friday (09:00 – 18:00)

Role:

We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts Team based in Harley St. The London General Practice, part of the HCA Primary Care Group, is a prestigious private GP practice located in the Harley Street area of London. We are committed to providing the highest quality healthcare services to private families, insurers, production companies, and multinational corporations.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare and distribute accurate invoices to patients in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient accounts, including payment histories and outstanding balances.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices, process incoming payments, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Monitor payment schedules, track overdue invoices, and send payment reminders.
  • Investigate and resolve billing disputes, credit memos, and other payment issues.
  • Keep up-to-date and accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring daily reconciliation across all payment methods.
  • Credit Control - Ensure all invoices are paid on time and the company’s revenue stream is maintained.
  • Generate weekly debtors’ reports highlighting outstanding debts and improvements.
  • Adhere to established credit policies and procedures when extending credit to patients.
  • Collaborate with sales, billing, and other departments to ensure smooth accounts receivable operations.

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or in a similar finance role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proactive and able to work autonomously.
