Account Assistant Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: Liverpool

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a diligent and organised Account Assistant to join a leading business in Liverpool. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic team, assisting in preparing monthly management accounts.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
  • Support transactional processing
  • Process purchase invoices, including capture and coding
  • Reconcile revenue against activity and prepare accrued/deferred income journals
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register and process depreciation
  • Prepare accruals or prepayment journals for review by Management Accountants
  • Assist in compiling supplier payment runs for processing
  • Review staff expenses for accuracy of coding and VAT recovery
What you bring:
  • 2-3 years experience working in a finance team, including transactional processing
  • High degree of attention to detail with the ability to self-review and error-check own work
  • Organised and adaptable with a strong work ethic
  • Proficient in working to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Functional working knowledge of MS office packages, including Outlook, Excel and Word
