Job Details:

Job Summary: This role will be responsible for general ledger accounting, monthly close and/or entity accounting processes with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. This position typically works under supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and posts non-standard journal entries.
  • Perform FICO reconciliations and work with cost accountants on resolving differences.
  • Prepares monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Contributes to the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assists in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Prepares account analyses for management and internal/external auditors.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information including monthly overhead and balance sheet reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • May collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate financial information and compliance with regulations.
  • May be assigned special projects.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Part-Qualified Accountant. Actively studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:

  • Experience in management accounting in commerce and industry or public accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of month end processes – journal entry, reconciliations, prepayments and accruals.
  • Computer literate and Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, management and external auditors.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software.

Desirable:

  • Previous SAP experience (including Blackline).
  • Exposure to foreign currency transactions and consolidations.
