Job Description

This established, fast-growing company is looking for a highly motivated team player who will join our Finance team as an experienced Senior Accountant.

Reporting to the Controller, this role will assist the Controller with accounting duties for Armour Group of Companies as noted below but not limited to:

Job Duties

  • Accounts Receivable - Analyze customer data, invoice customers, and record payments.
  • Accounts Payable - Input invoices and pay by cheque or EFT.
  • Commission - Prepare commission reports bi-monthly and process payments and record related party transactions.
  • Bank reconciliations for all companies.
  • Assist with inventory management.
  • General Ledger journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Specific duties will be adjusted as required to meet the needs of the company.

Requirements:

  • College diploma, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Direct work experience in an accounting role for 5 years or more.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
  • Strong knowledge of Sage accounting software preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills.
