Role: Accountant
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000
Location: Newport

Overview:
Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a Top 50 practice firm based in Newport who are looking for an Accountant due to continued growth.

My client is a practice that offers a friendly and professional service to all their clients. They take pride in their working environment which is relaxed and supportive.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Preparation and completion of Limited Company accounts
2. Preparation of management accounts
3. Preparation of VAT Returns under different VAT schemes
4. Dealing with ad hoc queries raised by clients
5. Ability to reconcile all control accounts
6. Understanding of Companies Act disclosures for Financial Statements

1. AAT qualified and/or ACCA part qualified (or equivalent)
2. At least 2 years' experience in an accountancy organisation/industry preparing non-audit company accounts
3. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
4. Experience with Xero, Sage Line 50, and other products
5. Strong communication skills, both internally and directly with clients.
6. Ability to perform well working in a team as well as individually
7. Self-manage workloads
8. Competent meeting organization deadlines
