Job Description
We’re recruiting for an Account Relationship Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract within our Mortgage Services division. This is a remote/homebased position.
This role will involve managing, developing and driving a portfolio of Broker and third party relationships required to achieve the growth and adoption objectives across LGMS. As part of the LGMS distribution team you will be identifying, engaging and unlocking target distribution opportunities whilst continuing to manage, drive and retain existing relationships. The role holder will also engage with key internal stakeholders, including counterparts across the L&G Group, developing an effective internal network that allows the development of commercial opportunities and proposition ideas.
What you'll be doing
- Achieving agreed sales and adoption targets through identifying and developing accounts across a range of LGMS products and propositions. Undertaking this by developing and implementing a sales plan for specified account portfolios in conjunction with the Head of Business Development leading to the achievement of LGMS commercial and adoption objectives.
- Being responsible for a portfolio of existing broker firms and 3rd parties. Successfully managing these relationships, ensuring that all commercially viable business via existing partners is retained and developed.
- Developing, influencing and onboarding the self-generated pipeline of prospects from initial engagement through to launch and throughout the lifetime of the relationship ensuring that LGMS objectives are attained across all LGMS products and propositions.
- Providing input into proposition development to tailor propositions to win and retain LGMS partners by working with target accounts to understand their business challenges, creating innovative solutions through detailed questioning, and leveraging of internal and external networks ensuring that a relevant proposition is consistently offered to firms.
- Supporting the Head of Strategic Accounts with the governance and process involved in assessing all new and existing clients, participating and contributing to internal governance committees to evidence and support this ensuring that they are in line with the achievement of LGMS strategy.
- Representing LGMS at external events where necessary. Using these opportunities to provide education on the wider mortgage market and LGMS strategy, products and propositions.
- Seeking feedback from customers that aims to identify areas for improvement within product design, literature administration, sales processes and provide information to relevant areas where appropriate.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- High level Customer and Account Management experience in a highly competitive environment, ideally within the wider Mortgage/Housing industry.
- Experience developing proposition initiatives, maximising existing business opportunities.
- Some knowledge of business strategy, customer communication and business planning including the development of strategic plans.
- A working knowledge of the UK mortgage lending market ideally with fintech experience.
- Strong Analytical Skills, customer planning, service, communication and development skills.
- Engagement, influencing, and presentation skills – in person, online via Teams/Zoom and in all written materials.
- Ideally CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) or willing to work towards.
