The position

You will be managing some of the existing clients located in the UK & Ireland to reconnect with them and generate more demand but also you will be asked to do strong activities in business development in the same area looking for potential new customers. You will act as AEG PS representative in front of the clients (mainly manufacturing sector) and providing the technical sales support.

Main responsibilities

  • Contribute to sales- and (mutual) profitability targets by identifying and acquiring new customers and -projects for EPC's, OEM's.
  • Analyze current- and future market trends, identify and further develop new and prospected customers, define and execute sales plans and maintain relevant information in CRM system.
  • Identify new investment projects on the market in context of sales- and mutual profitability growth.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers and stakeholders.
  • Analysis of potential customer segments to develop and execute a sales plan. Identification and further development of new customers or projects.
  • Capture customer needs and support the development of solution concepts with end customers, planning offices and/or system providers.
  • Represent the company to the customer and act as linking pin between the customer and the relevant internal functions; participate in acceptance tests (FAT or SAT).
  • Collaborate with Engineering on the preparation of quotations.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs and customer events as well as in project reviews.
  • Structured provision of all required information for the FAE teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ideally Electrical engineer or technician with successful field sales experience of at least 4-6 years.
  • Proven successful experience in generating new clients and opening new markets within the power electronics sector is a must.
  • Technological knowledge in the area of secure power supply (rectifiers and inverters), preferably products from AEG Power Solutions.
  • Solid experience in customer acquisition and negotiation.
  • To be based in the UK and willing to travel up 60% of the time.
  • Negotiation skills, sociability, willingness to work in a team and commercial understanding.
  • Independent and strategic work within the given boundary conditions with a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Command of the standard software MS Office; SAP and MS Dynamics desirable.
