Job Brief: Account Manager/Senior Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager (AM) or Senior Account Manager (SAM) with a strong background in industrial design to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing large-scale accounts (approximately £1 million in value), and the ability to lead multiple ongoing projects within a retainer structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, particularly in the airline, mobility, and hospitality sectors. Proactively build and maintain strong, long-term relationships to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Project & Account Oversight: Lead large-scale, complex accounts, overseeing branding, product, and customer experience (CX) transformation programs. This includes coordinating multiple concurrent projects and ensuring that deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Process Management: Implement and uphold streamlined, process-oriented approaches to keep projects on track in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Client Communication & Coordination: Provide regular updates, manage day-to-day communications, and handle any immediate client needs or issues that may arise.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to coordinate all phases of project execution, ensuring alignment with client goals and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Industrial Design Expertise (Required): Strong understanding of industrial design principles, ideally with practical experience in the field.
  • Sector Experience: Prior experience with airline, automotive, hospitality, hotels, and mobility clients is preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Project Management (PM) Skills: Ability to manage complex, large-scale accounts and projects independently, even going beyond the scope of account management as needed.
  • Relationship Building: Proven experience in developing and nurturing long-form, trust-based client relationships, without relying on a new business team.
  • Process Orientation: Highly organised and process-driven, with the ability to thrive in a structured but fast-moving environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a background in account management within branding, industrial design, product, or customer experience.
  • Is accustomed to managing large, retainer-based accounts and handling all aspects of client relations and project delivery.
  • Can step into a busy environment and immediately contribute to the team's goals.
  • Comfortable working in a small team, taking initiative, and wearing multiple hats.
