What You'll Do:

As an Account Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the Lubrizol Life Science accounts.

The Account Manager pharmaceuticals, as primary point of contact for assigned customers, is responsible for the development of new commercial opportunities with strategic accounts and/or distributors in the assigned territory.

The role requires frequent travels within Europe for face-to-face customer meetings, to attend conferences, seminars, and tradeshows and to join internal meetings. The overall goal is to ensure sustained, profitable year-over-year growth and to deliver financial results aligned with both short- and long-term targets.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

  1. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with existing and potential accounts to drive revenue growth.
  2. Identify opportunities to expand business by upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new solutions with our core excipients across OTC, generic, and Rx markets to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  3. Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering close customer engagement and building trust.
  4. Actively promote the Lubrizol pharmaceutical portfolio via face-to-face meetings, virtual calls, seminars, and tradeshows.
  5. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to anticipate customer and market needs while providing strategic insights to the management team.
  6. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers, ensuring profitability while maintaining superior customer service.
  7. Initiate and manage projects as required to ensure we deliver on our financial plan.
  8. Record all generated opportunities in CRM, ensuring pipeline is consistently updated and accurate.
  9. Collaborate with cross functional internal teams (CER, Marketing, Product management, Technical team, Regulatory, QA) to develop and implement integrated solutions.
  10. Oversee forecasting and demand planning for assigned accounts.
  11. Manage customer complaints and supply chain related issues effectively to ensure satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Skills That Make a Difference:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, pharmacy, business.
  2. Proven work experience as an Account Manager (indicatively 5 years).
  3. Experience in pharma ingredients or excipients.
  4. Strong network in pharma industry in Europe across customers segments (innovators, generic, OTC/consumer, CMO, CDMO).
  5. Strong communication skills with proven ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  6. Native in English. A second language is considered a plus.
  7. Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office.
  8. Proven ability to navigate multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to details.
  9. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  10. Positive attitude, strong team spirit and flexibility.
  11. Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  12. Result oriented with a hunter mentality.
  13. 40-60% travel time.
