About the Company - A leading player in the life sciences sector is seeking a scientifically minded Account Manager to take over a well-established South London territory. This area includes key academic and pharma accounts such as King’s College London, Queen Mary University, and GSK. The position has become available due to an internal promotion, presenting a great opportunity to inherit a high-potential patch with plenty of scope for growth.

About the Role - This role focuses on selling research consumables and reagents, supporting full workflows in flow cytometry, immunology, cancer research, neuroscience, and cell analysis. The split is approximately 80% existing business with 20% new business development, particularly across underdeveloped academic accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales across academic, biotech, CRO/CMO, and pharmaceutical customers
  • Deliver on a strategic territory plan and build long-term customer relationships
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, symposia, and customer seminars
  • Collaborate with a strong internal support structure, including applications and instrumentation teams

Qualifications - BSc in a life science (MSc/PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, or Cancer Biology desirable)

Required Skills

  • Scientific sales experience OR technical background with strong commercial instincts
  • Well-organised, confident presenter with solid interpersonal skills
  • Must be based within the M25 corridor, with flexibility for travel and some overnights
  • Full UK manual driving licence required

Pay range and compensation package - Competitive base salary and a generous bonus structure (up to 250% accelerators). Company car, strong benefits package, and continuous training via an internal learning platform.
