These infrastructure networks include hundreds of thousands of miles of pavements, thousands of bridges, and millions of wastewater, storm water, and fresh water distribution pipe assets.

With over 50% market share, Deighton is the global leader of infrastructure asset management solutions. Departments of Transportation and National Road Authorities around the world use dTIMS to manage their roads, bridges, tunnels, and infrastructure assets. They use it for planning, business analysis, business intelligence, and operations management.


As the Account Manager, you will play a critical role on the Deighton team. You will be responsible for the success and growth of approximately 10 named accounts:


  1. Be the customers’ primary point of contact and advocate. You ensure the client is achieving their objectives year-over-year.
  2. Identify new growth opportunities to up-sell, cross-sell, and expand Deighton’s suite of products in each of your accounts.
  3. Work to identify and scope new projects and facilitate the process with our Professional Services team and the Director of Sales.
  4. Proactive customer support. You know and resolve client needs before they become issues.
  5. Lead the bid writing and RFP process end-to-end for securing new work within each of your accounts.
  6. Become a dTIMS product evangelist by becoming an expert in the products, services and markets. Your clients will rely on you as a subject matter expert.

The Account Manager is a growth opportunity. By working with established clients, you will learn our business, the industry, and products. This will give you a path to enterprise software sales and new business development.


To Succeed In This Role


  1. Proven Sales Track Record. You have a successful track record of business-to-business sales experience (3+ years), ideally in software, professional services, or engineering. You excel at client interactions and showcase stellar presentation skills.
  2. Consultative Seller. You have the ability to see the gaps in business and customer needs and find solutions for them. You can translate the customer's need into a vision and language they can act on.
  3. Relationship-Driven. You're a relationship builder who can connect and motivate people. You build and nurture forever client relationships.
  4. Trusted Advisor. You live and breathe integrity and deliver on promises...every time.
  5. Expert Planner. You manage your time well, prioritize deliverables, and are an expert at multitasking. You possess excellent planning skills, which will help you to implement successful sales strategies.
  6. Brilliant Communicator. You are an effective writer, speaker, and presenter. You can write a killer proposal or sales letter, or give a product demo that gets your customers to act.

Nice to have:


  1. You hold a degree in business or engineering.
  2. You’ve sold B2B software solutions.
  3. You’ve sold into government and have experience with the bid and RFP process.
  4. Prior experience leading a group cross-functional players.
