Job description

Position: Account Manager
Location: Peterborough (PE2 6XE)
Grade: RCS. L
Salary: Up to £35,000
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Work Pattern: Monday-Friday. Day time only

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a motivated and experienced Account Manager to enhance our client relationships and drive business growth within DHL's Finished Vehicle Solutions customer contract.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

  1. Act as the main point of escalation dealing with service issues and problem solving, communicating at all times with the different brands within the Account Manager's remit.
  2. Work with key stakeholders such as operations to ensure high levels of customer service are delivered throughout the booking process.
  3. Oversee all processes required to deliver the service and ensure processes and WI are maintained.
  4. Provide consultation and proactive fleet management, adopting best practice and striving for continuous improvement and innovation at all levels.
  5. Attend account reviews with the brands on a monthly and quarterly basis, identifying service level improvements.
  6. Collate and distribute key monthly reports, taking the time to analyze and feedback trends and insights.
  7. Work with finance to manage the POs, invoices, and debt position of the associated clients/brands and communicate with clients.
  8. Support by providing leadership, guidance, and support.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  1. Previous experience within an Account Management role or similar is essential.
  2. Proven track record in a customer-focused environment.
  3. Strong communicator at various levels with the ability to assess individual customer needs.
  4. Automotive Industry experience or exposure would be ideal.
  5. Ability to raise POs and review invoices, ensuring information is correct.
  6. Excellent presentation skills - Ability to review and extract data to share with stakeholders.
  7. IT literate (Microsoft packages) and able to adapt to new technologies.
