Sales ... Drugs & Rock 'n' Roll! We work closely with the aviation industry in ensuring the safety of passenger travel. Partnering with airlines around the world, we enable the testing of staff to guarantee compliance with flight regulations. As our Account Manager, you'll need to be able to think on your feet, manage key clients, and travel the world.


BASIC SALARY: Up to £30,000

LOCATION: This is a hybrid, flexible role where national and international travel will be required. Ideally, you'll be commutable to our office which is based in Letchworth Garden City.


COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Oxford, Milton Keynes, High Wycombe, Swindon, Stevenage, Cambridge, Reading, St Albans, Bedford, Luton, Banbury, Aylesbury.


JOB DESCRIPTION: Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Executive


Reporting to our Sales Director, as our Account Manager, you'll be responsible for building strong, long-lasting relationships with some of our key clients, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring the smooth delivery of services.


You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and support the growth of existing accounts while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.


This is a varied role, where you will need to have the flexibility and desire to travel internationally and not work "typical office hours", but we will work with you to ensure your work-life balance is achieved through our flexible working plan!


A normal day will include:

  1. Account management: You'll manage, nurture, and grow a portfolio of existing clients, building strong relationships and working to expand business within these accounts. These clients range from £2,500 to £100,000 per year - with your growth comes the opportunity to look after some of our bigger accounts.
  2. New business development: You'll actively seek out new opportunities, prospecting potential customers and driving the growth of the business. We have lots of lapsed clients who we need someone to reconnect with. It's not unusual for our sales cycle to last 18 months.
  3. Regional, national and international travel: You will need to be able to travel internationally - some of our recent trips have included Las Vegas, Barcelona, and Mumbai.
  4. Sales process management: Understand customer requirements and communicate them in formal quotations - owning the process through to receipt of purchase orders and handover to the delivery team.
  5. Networking and trade shows: With support, identify key networking events and trade shows both in the UK and around the world. Arrange meetings with key delegates and follow up with them post-event.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Executive


As a successful Account Manager, you'll have worked in a sales environment previously, but don't worry if you don't have experience in our specific industry - we're committed to teaching you everything you need to know.


What's most important is you'll be pro-active, self-motivated, and not afraid to make decisions, take action, and on the rare occasion you make a mistake, you learn from it.


You'll have:

  1. A proven track record of success within sales and business development - you'll be able to demonstrate evidence of how you've grown existing accounts.
  2. The confidence (once trained) to present webinars and work towards presenting in person to large groups.
  3. A commercial understanding of the sales cycle and buying process.
  4. An inquisitive and analytical mind and a desire for self-improvement and success.
