This broker’s specialist Independent & Private Schools Division has a dedicated team of circa 40 highly knowledgeable employees across Sales, Account Management, Claims and Account Handling. They are regarded as some of the most gifted insurance professionals within this niche, looking after prestigious accounts in the sector. As part of one of the largest global brokers, this division benefits from the infrastructure and market presence of a larger organization.

Whether you are currently in the Education insurance niche or an SME, Middle-Market, or Corporate Account Executive in ‘general commercial’, this is a superb opportunity to advance your career with a respected team in this fascinating sector. The position is 100% home-based, with the option to check into a local office if desired. Candidates must be located in or around Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire or surrounding counties, where you will inherit a substantial portfolio of accounts.

Your clients will include prestigious private and independent schools, whose alumni include well-known names from business, sport, politics, and royalty. Most client visits will be face-to-face, although online meetings can also be arranged based on client preference. The role focuses on managing existing accounts, while working with Business Development Executives to develop new business and explore opportunities to cross and up-sell ancillary services such as Risk Management. You will develop a detailed understanding of your clients’ operations and their exposures to risk, which may represent more complex risks than those of state schools. With the assistance of colleagues, you will work with Underwriters from a select panel of insurers to design a robust insurance program that comprehensively mitigates risks at competitive premiums.

It is essential that you have previously worked in an Account Executive position and have an understanding of various commercial covers including Property and Liability / Commercial Combined insurance. You must be a confident, articulate and polished communicator, able to secure buy-in from diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational and task management skills are required, as you will be working on multiple projects simultaneously.
