Sales Account Executive

OA is looking for a dynamic Sales Account Executive to join our client's growing and successful team.

Our client, a market leader in the bedding and upholstery components industry, is seeking a talented Sales Executive to help drive new business, upsell to existing customers, and meet ambitious sales targets.

We're after someone with a strong track record in sales, outstanding customer relationship skills, and a real hunger for winning new business. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about growing your career, this could be the perfect role for you!

Location: Enfield

Hours: Full-time. Office based. Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm & Friday 8.00am - 2.00pm

Salary: Up to £40,000

Sales Account Executive - Key Responsibilities:

  1. To maximise growth of sales within the business.
  2. Ownership of area accounts, account planning and execution.
  3. Source and generate leads for potential new business.
  4. Securing appointments with prospects to conduct either a telephone/online discussion or a face-to-face meeting.
  5. Prepare quotations and follow up.
  6. Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences in the UK and occasionally abroad.
  7. Occasional visits to customers involving overnight hotel stays, within UK and N Ireland/Eire.
  8. Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers.
  9. Assist the Sales Manager in the Marketing and PR area working alongside a Marketing Agency.
  10. Ensure all customer queries are handled appropriately and monitored through to resolution.

Sales Account Executive - Skills and Experience:

  1. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, with great attention to detail.
  2. Professional and resilient with a positive outlook.
  3. Team player who goes the extra mile.
  4. Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook) and CRM software.
  5. Ability to work well as part of a team, in an open office environment, whilst being able to work independently on your own initiative with tenacity & a drive to improve and succeed.
  6. Background in the bedding or soft furnishings industries would be advantageous but not critical.
  7. Full UK driving license required.
  8. Ability to analyse lost business and review opportunities to increase successful conversions.
