Overview of role

EssenceMediacom handles the media planning and buying for some of the world's smartest advertisers. Everything we do is supported by consumer insight, analysis and experience. We are part of the largest media planning and buying network in the world.


We are looking for a diligent AV Account Director to join us on the AV team. In this role you will be responsible for the entire process within AV, where you will regularly make recommendations to the client founded in insight and evidence, with audit guarantees in mind.


Reporting of the role

This role reports directly into the AV Senior Associate Director, along with the relevant Trading Heads.

Measures of success

In three months, you would have:

  • Have a full understanding of all the key planning tools across AV.
  • Built a strong working relationship with the other individuals within AV Planning and Investment.
  • Built strong working relationships with all key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Gained a good understanding of the client businesses which you will oversee.
  • Overseen the delivery of all AV plans and responses on time and without errors.
  • Have a solid grasp of all the commercial aspects of your role.

In six months, you would have:

  • Demonstrated your ability to make AV recommendations founded in insight.
  • Implemented a robust test and learn framework for relevant clients in the group.
  • Started to demonstrate to your clients an improvement in key business performance metrics.

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Delivered stable or improving client referral scores on all your client businesses.
  • Delivered demonstrable revenue growth or value saving within your clients.
  • Be able to lead AV recommendations with minimal input from the senior Associate Director.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Planning all facets of AV (inc TV, BVOD, Cinema, Audio).
  • Working within a full media team to deliver response to briefs.
  • Campaign reporting to ascertain if you executed recommendations.
  • Management of team below you.
