Location: London

Direct Reports: Account Delivery Managers / Contract Delivery Managers

Reporting to: Divisional Director Integral Direct

The Role Purpose of the Account Director

  • To provide leadership, development and performance management across a high profile, multi-use destination in London.
  • The Account Director is a key role in providing strategic, tactical and technical operational leadership and direction across multiple workstreams and complex stakeholder map and commercial model.

Key Responsibilities of the Account Director

  • Providing strategic and tactical leadership plus operational management within a dynamic multi-client environment.
  • Leading a multi-faceted team of Contract Managers and a wider engineering team to ensure exceptional service delivery at a globally recognisable destination venue.

Main Duties of the Account Director

  • Leading and developing dedicated account/contract teams.
  • Setting the strategic direction for the team.
  • Delivering the strategic goals/direction of the sector.
  • Being a member of the Integral extended leadership team comprising Integral and supply chain partners working with a “one team” ethos.
  • Managing the P&L of contracts including sales/growth/costs and WIP/Debt management including fee revenue targets and stretch objectives.
  • Establishing a robust governance framework that drives collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Identifying opportunities and working with wider stakeholders to develop associated operating models for Integral to add more value to providing additional/alternative services and methods of delivery to drive business development of the Contract.
  • Ensuring full understanding of Contract SLA and KPI and delivering these while ensuring industry best practice.
  • Setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinating work activities with others.
  • Building partnerships with clients and colleagues through open, transparent and timely communication.
  • Ensuring a professional image of JLL-Integral is presented to clients and visitors and promoting excellence in customer service at all times.
  • Adapting management style to meet changing needs of the business or operational circumstances.
  • Informing the Divisional Director of all contract issues that may impact internally or externally on Integral.
  • Providing support and coaching for direct reports.
  • Ensuring technical support and infrastructure is maintained for effective operation.
  • Ensuring an effective process is in place for change management and governance of the estate and contract.
  • Preparing and conducting presentations/proposals suitable for executive level review.
  • Ensuring contract quality documentation and implementation programs are produced and delivered for the contract.
  • Ensuring contract renewals/variations are completed within change control procedures and operational performance, with the account P&L reviewed annually.
  • Making decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plans.
  • Providing informative and engaging communications to contract team members regarding client and business priorities.
  • Recognizing, respecting and rewarding the contributions and achievements of others.
  • Driving and encouraging development of self and others through learning and on-the-job experience.
  • Understanding Integral processes and business model.
  • Working with key support workstream leads and wider JLL subject matter expertise to develop competitive service offerings.
  • Leveraging benefits of market-leading technological platforms and tools to develop service offerings and customer experience.
  • Developing service offerings, particularly project work to all business units within the Integral group.
  • Ensuring good working relationships are developed between all departments within the business.
  • Ensuring correct control measures and cost controls are in place.
  • Ensuring quality assurance procedures are adhered to and any new policies are implemented.
  • Ensuring commercial agreements are in place and change control is up to date across all accounts, reviewed annually as a minimum.

Experience Required:

  • Managerial experience at Account Director level or above within technical and/or hard services is essential.
  • A demonstrable track record in leading engineering teams within a highly complex and high-profile environment with excellent knowledge of the industry market.
  • Previous experience working with major construction principal contractors and mobilising sites from CDM to occupation is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix management structure.
  • New business hunter qualities as well as strong account management skills.
  • Able to build positive relationships with clients to resolve operational problems and identify opportunities for increasing profitable business.
  • Communicate using appropriate styles, methods and timings.
  • Role model enthusiasm and energy about their work and encourage others to do the same.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness when acquiring additional professional expertise.
  • Use tact and diplomacy to exchange information and handle sensitive issues.
  • Project a professional demeanour with colleagues, clients and their customers.
  • Able to clearly communicate work tasks and win the commitment of others to achieving high operational performance.
  • Ability to understand key financial, labour and material variables within budgets to achieve target returns for Integral.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to maintain an objective and positive focus through periods of high and sustained work pressure.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience, coupled with in-depth knowledge of condition-based maintenance and exploitation of remote monitoring technology.

Qualifications Required:

  • Industry relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience.
  • IOSHMS.
  • Competent working knowledge of M&E or Fabric disciplines.
  • Sound level of administration and organisational skills.
  • Account Leadership experience.
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
